Owner builder information:

As of 14th June 2005, the new owner builder regulation came into effect. Meaning that all owner builders must now apply for an owner builder consent certificate to carry out domestic works over $12,000 in value, (including all labour, material's and associated costs).

Owner builders must reside or intend to reside in the dwelling that they are applying for the certificate, and can only apply for this consent once in a three year period.

Owner builders can no longer construct multi dwelling development's, and can only apply for single dwellings.

A $79.15 application fee applies.

A registered builder can quote your project from the plans supplied by Bayview Design & drafting.

Bayview design & drafting have some local builders contact details, if you need help finding a builder.

There are many builders advertised in the Yellow pages and on the internet. It pays to get a couple of quotes, just to be sure.
